# Locusworks Commons (Deprecated)

> **Deprecated:** Do not add `net.locusworks:locusworks-commons` to new projects.
|
|
|
|
This artifact contains no implementation code. It exists temporarily as a compatibility dependency that brings in all of the replacement libraries below.
|
|
|
|
| Replacement artifact | Purpose |
|
|

| `locusworks-commons-core` | General utilities, collections, tuples, validation, hashing, I/O, properties, interfaces, and annotations |
|
|
| `locusworks-commons-configuration` | Property-file loading, reconciliation, persistence, and optional value encryption |
|
|
| `locusworks-commons-json` | JSON serialization and object mapping |
|
|
| `locusworks-commons-http` | HTTP client and SSL helpers |
|
|
| `locusworks-commons-migration` | Flyway migration abstractions |
|
|
|
|
## Migration
|
|
|
|
Remove `locusworks-commons` and declare only the libraries the application actually uses:

|
|
|

The Java package names remain unchanged, so source-code changes are generally unnecessary.
